Developmental Disability & Acquired Brain Injury
Medicaid Home & Community-Based Services that fund individualized supports so people with developmental disabilities or acquired brain injury can live, work, and participate in their communities rather than in institutions. Through a person-centered plan, services may include case management, personal support, homemaker, respite, employment/day services, therapies, assistive technology, transportation, and home modifications. Eligibility and the exact mix of services depend on assessed needs and Medicaid rules.
01
Case Management
BIAW partners with individuals and their circles of support to build and update person-centered plans, connect to needed waiver and community services, and coordinate providers and evaluations. We facilitate team meetings, track goals, monitor health and safety, manage authorizations/budgets, and advocate for accommodations and client rights.

02
Residential
Staff work with the person—never taking over—to build skills and routines for safe, independent living. Using prompts, modeling, and shared tasks, we practice cooking, housekeeping, scheduling, community participation, and self-advocacy. Days are co-planned around the person’s choices; staff support problem-solving and dignity of risk while monitoring health and safety. Progress toward person-chosen goals is documented each shift.
